Aashish Pokharel

Aashish is a young conservationist with a growing interest in wildlife research and community-based conservation. His recent work has focused small wildcats of Nepal’s lowlands particularly on Fishing cats, bringing the local community into wildlife conservation and coexistence. Beyond mammals, he has been actively working on farmland birds examining the distribution and their habitat use across the human-dominated Landscape. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Forestry at Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University.
