Wild Cats Series 2023

About the 2023 Cohort

The Wild Cats Series 2023 brought together 18 education and outreach volunteers selected from across Nepal’s fishing cat range. Participants represented diverse institutions and educational backgrounds, creating a collaborative space for learning about fishing cat ecology, conservation needs and community engagement.

The two-day programme combined expert-led sessions with field-based learning on camera trapping, community interaction and conservation outreach. Following the orientation, participants were encouraged to use their newly gained knowledge and skills to raise awareness about fishing cats and support the conservation of their habitats in Nepal.
